Artemia is a brachiopod crustacean that lives in saline waters. Thanks to its high nutritional content, Artemia biomass is an excellent source of protein for fish, shrimp, and other animals. It is used as food in aquaculture, especially during the larval and maturation stages of shrimp and the larval stages of fish and other aquatic organisms.

It contains high levels of lipids and Omega-3 fatty acids. FrozenOcean Artemia biomass is sterilized, analyzed, and certified virus and bacteria-free.

The shelf life of artemia biomass is up to 3 years if stored at a temperature equal to or below -18°C (0.4°F).
